In this blog you can find my latest digitally created layouts. They will also be in my main website in the albums they fit into, but I thought this will be easier for anybody, who has already seen the main site, to follow my new creations . Thre is no particular theme or chronological order to this - I will publish as I make them...
This month's challenge was to make a page about 10 things we love, 10 things that make us smile and 10 things we like about ourselves. As usual, I've made my adaptations to suit the Dual BOM album I'm doing for Sean and myself.

On 10th October, we had a great time visiting and ringing at eight churches and seeing a working windmill in the Redhill area, with about 40 people attending from 14 different churches in the district. It was wonderful bright and sunny day, ideal for photography!
A summary page of the eight churches - more detailed in separate pages below.
We were due at the first church at 9:30am when it was still slightly misty and chilly before the sun came out to grace us.
A beautiful flower arrangement in a beautiful morning spot: the porch at St Katherine's.
All the churches were still lavishly decorated with autumn style flowers and props, as the weekend before had been Harvest festival. St Katherine's was one of the best for the flowers!
It also provided this very funny scene of ringers "gathered around the pumpkin" which adorned the font in the middle of the ringing chamber.
The bright and cheerful Fly Agarics always remind me of fairy stories from my childhood - these were spotted in the churchyward of the 2nd church.
Lunch was at Bletchingly and entailed a 10-minute walk from church to pub, partly through the idyllic Church Lane and past the Manse cottage.
A break from ringing in the afternoon to make a short detour to Outwood mill, the oldest post mill in England, where we received a short tour of the inside. The photo is the view from the upstairs window.
It's been a long time since something went into this blog but I did a lot of paper scrapbooking, finishing a wedding keepsake book for my friend Emily (which you can see on my website - click here and look down the links page for "Emily & Giles Wedding") and tried to keep up-to-date with my Book Reviews and Faithbook pages... But now I'm taking part in the new Book of Me challenge with Club Scrap, doing a page for each topic for both myself and Sean. With three topics a months, that's quite a few pages and here are the September ones:
The first pair is on the topic of names I've used the CS Apothecary kit and one of the templates included and made the pages to match. Fonts: Andreas Typewriter and EK Lollipops
The 2nd pair is on the topic of roles in life. I used the CS Matrix kit and one of the templates that came with it. Font is LDC.
The third pair is on the topic of personalities. I used the CS Gimme a Ring kit and one of the quickpages that came with it. Font is Honey Script.
I've followed the same challenge some years back, doing a traditional scrapbook for myself only (for Sean this is the first time). So I'm trying to cover additional angles or changes in my pages and sometimes refer to what has gone before. You can see the old pages on my website (same link as above for Emily's book but page down to find the link called BOM).

I used the complete photo on the clipping mask for the matte and zoomed in on it for the actual photo. These are the boring bushes that grow between our and the neighbours' paths to our front doors - they come to live for a month in summer and look really lovely and bright.
